Joshua Young
Understanding, kind and compassionate
Josh has extensive experience working with adults, adolescents and families presenting with mild and emerging depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, suicidal ideation, grief and loss, trauma, identity, personality disorders and psychosis.
He also has a special interest in supporting the mental health of boys and men around toxic masculinity and shame.
Josh uses his therapeutic skills to help clients understand the the link between emotions and behaviour and how this impacts their sense of self. He does this by using a number of different therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, person-centered and strengths-based practice.
Josh is kind, empathic, genuinely cares about the work he does and believes with the right support, every individual can live a happy and peaceful life.
