Online and Phone Counselling
In order to provide ongoing support to those who are unable to attend our Menai rooms, we offer video-conference and phone sessions. This is also known as tele-health and has been increasingly popular.
Evolving Minds Counselling only use platforms that are encrypted, as we are aware of the importance of confidentiality. This way when attending your on-line or phone session, you can be assured that we have taken every step to keep your information safe and secure.
How does this work?
Should you wish to go ahead with a video conferencing or phone sessions, a link will be emailed to you which will enable you to join at your appointment time. All you need to do is let one of our customer relationship team know that this is your preferred option.
Who can provide telehealth?
The Better Access telehealth services can be delivered by eligible allied mental health professionals.
Who is eligible for telehealth sessions?
Clients must meet the usual requirements for a Better Access service and be in a rural, remote or very remote region at the time of the service. The client must also be located more than 15 kilometres by road from the providing practitioner.
Those who are impacted by COVID-19 are also eligible to receive sessions under specific funding made available by the government.
How do I pay for sessions related to COVID-19?
The government has provided funding for those in shutdown or with certain presentations and we have made a commitment to bulk bill these sessions for the months of April and May 2020. We would however, need your Medicare Details, a GP Referral and a Mental Health Care Plan to do this.
Are these sessions confidential?
These sessions will be confidential and an informed consent will be emailed to you for signing prior to your scheduled appointment time.
