Our Therapeutic Approach to ADHD

at Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology

At Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology, we understand every brain works differently. Living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), or supporting someone who does, can make life more challenging. Focus, planning, emotional regulation and organisation can feel overwhelming, especially when combined with anxiety or stress.

ADHD is commonly associated with impulsivity, hyperactivity and difficulty sustaining attention. ADD, now more accurately described as ADHD – Inattentive Type, typically presents without hyperactivity and affects focus, memory and task follow-through. While each individual’s experience is unique, both presentations can impact learning, work, relationships, and self-esteem.

At Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology, we offer personalised, evidence-based support to help manage ADHD across the lifespan. Our experienced clinicians work with children, adolescents and adults to understand how ADHD or ADD affects their lives, and to develop practical strategies that build confidence and reduce day-to-day overwhelm.

Our clinicians draw on a range of evidence-based therapies, including:

Our team has specialised training in ADHD and offers both therapy and comprehensive Adult ADHD Assessments to support diagnosis, workplace planning, and tailored treatment.
