Catherine Roberts is a Mental Health Nurse at Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology in Menai. She provides couples and family therapy, as well as individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults, in person at our Menai practice and online across Australia.
With over 28 years of clinical experience across the UK and Australia, Catherine brings extensive expertise and a calm, compassionate presence to her work. Catherine works with people experiencing a range of mental health presentations including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, academic stress, and eating disorders.
She also works with young people experiencing eating disorders and body image concerns, supporting recovery through a collaborative approach that considers emotional wellbeing, relationships, and family dynamics.
Catherine works with parents and couples during pregnancy and the postnatal period, supporting perinatal mental health, including emotional adjustment, anxiety and mood changes, birth trauma, identity shifts, and relationship challenges that can arise during the transition to parenthood.
Life transitions, parenting demands, and everyday stress can place pressure on relationships. Catherine provides couples counselling and family therapy, supporting partners and families to improve communication, resolve conflict, and strengthen emotional connection. She draws on systems theory and the Gottman Method, an evidence-based framework for strengthening relationships and rebuilding emotional connection.
Catherine’s therapeutic style is relational and person-centred. She integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
