ADHD and Autism Assessments
Sydney and Sutherland Shire

Evolving Minds provides ADHD and autism assessments for adolescents and adults across the Sutherland Shire, in person at our Menai practice and via secure telehealth throughout Australia.

Many people seek an assessment after years of feeling that things have taken more effort than they seem to for others. For some, this is long-standing difficulty with attention, organisation, sensory sensitivity or emotional regulation. For others, it is a growing sense that masking and compensating have come at a cost. An assessment can put that experience into context.

Who we assess

We assess adolescents aged 13 to 17 years and adults aged 18 years and over for ADHD, autism, or both. Where there are overlapping features, or it is unclear which condition best explains your experiences, a combined ADHD and autism assessment may be recommended.

Assessments are conducted in a neuro-affirming and respectful way, by registered clinicians, with careful attention to each person's context rather than relying on stereotypes or narrow assumptions.

Our assessments

Whether you are seeking an assessment for yourself or your teenager, we offer comprehensive ADHD, autism, and combined ADHD and autism assessments.

Adolescents (13 to 17)
  • Adolescent ADHD assessment

  • Adolescent autism assessment

Telehealth Assessments across Australia

If you live outside the Sutherland Shire, or prefer the flexibility of attending from home, our ADHD and autism assessments are available via secure telehealth across Australia.

The assessment process is the same as attending in person. Appointments are completed by video, with the same structured clinical interviews, assessment measures, feedback session, and written report.

Which assessment is right for you?

ADHD Assessment  - Suitable for adolescents and adults wanting to understand whether ADHD may explain difficulties with attention, focus, organisation, planning, impulsivity, emotional regulation, or executive functioning.

Autism Assessment  - Suitable for adolescents and adults exploring whether autism may help explain differences in social communication, sensory processing, routines, interests, or the experience of masking and navigating everyday life.

Combined ADHD and Autism Assessment  - A comprehensive assessment that considers both ADHD and autism together. This may be appropriate where there are overlapping features, both conditions may be contributing to a person's experiences, or greater diagnostic clarity is needed through a single assessment process.
