Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology in Menai was established in 2017 with a clear vision: to provide high-quality, accessible psychological therapy to individuals and families across the Sutherland Shire and surrounding suburbs.

Today, that space exists in our Menai practice, and we are fortunate to work alongside a team of experienced psychologists and mental health social workers who genuinely care about the work they do and the people they work with.

We work with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples and families across the Sutherland Shire. Our focus is simple: to listen to where you are and understand where you want to be. Each session is a space where you can feel heard, understood and supported.

We want you to feel comfortable sharing your story, knowing it will be met with care and respect. From there, we work with you to make sense of what is happening and move towards what matters most to you.

How we approach therapy

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Our sessions are tailored to you, your experiences and what feels most relevant. We stay up to date with best practice through ongoing training, including in areas such as trauma, neurodiversity and eating disorders, so the support you receive reflects current, evidence-based approaches.

When working with children and adolescents, we take a family systems approach. This means including parents and carers in a way that helps them feel more confident in supporting their child, while still keeping the young person at the centre of the work.

We also offer adult ADHD and autism assessments, completed in line with recognised diagnostic guidelines. Assessments are comprehensive and completed by psychologists with specialised training.
