Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology — Menai and the Sutherland Shire
Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology is a private psychology practice based in Menai, providing evidence-based psychological therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. We also offer adult psychological assessments and provide services across the Sutherland Shire and via secure telehealth throughout Australia.
Established in 2017, Evolving Minds was created with the vision that people should be able to access therapy in a space where they feel safe, heard, and validated. Our work is guided by care that is genuine and respectful, and by clinicians who are ethical, highly qualified, and appropriately credentialed.
Our team includes registered psychologists and accredited mental health clinicians with experience working across a broad range of psychological presentations. All clinicians are registered with their relevant professional bodies, including AHPRA and the AASW, and engage in ongoing professional development to ensure practice remains current and responsible.
We take a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed approach to therapy. This means recognising that people experience challenges differently and working collaboratively to understand each person within the context of their life, relationships, and circumstances. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all; sessions are tailored, respectful, and guided by evidence-based practice.
Evolving Minds provides psychological therapy for a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, neurodevelopmental presentations, and significant life transitions. In addition to therapy, we offer adult ADHD and autism assessments, completed in line with recognised diagnostic guidelines and professional standards.
We work with people at different stages of life and welcome clients from diverse backgrounds. Our focus is on providing therapy that feels steady, respectful, and genuine, whether someone is seeking clarity through assessment or engaging in ongoing therapy.
