Therapy for Anxiety Disorders
at Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology
Anxiety is one of the most common mental health conditions, affecting people of all ages. While it’s a natural response to stress or uncertainty, anxiety can become a concern when it is ongoing, overwhelming, or out of proportion to the situation. When this happens, it can interfere with daily routines, sleep, relationships, work, and overall wellbeing.
Anxiety can affect people in many different ways. Some may experience ongoing worry, restlessness, or sleep difficulties, while others notice physical symptoms like muscle tension, fatigue, or a racing heart. It can also lead to avoidance of certain situations or reliance on unhelpful coping behaviours such as overeating, smoking or alcohol use.
At Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology, we offer evidence-based therapy for a wide range of anxiety disorders, including Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Phobias and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). We also support those experiencing health anxiety, separation anxiety and situational anxiety.
Our experienced team of clinicians draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including:
