Women's Mental Health
Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology | Menai and Sutherland Shire
Women’s mental health is influenced by a range of biological, psychological, relational and social factors. Changes in mood, anxiety levels, sleep, confidence, emotional regulation, relationships, and sense of identity can emerge over time or in response to life events and ongoing stress. These experiences vary for each person and often shift at different points in life.
At Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology, we provide evidence-based psychological therapy for women in Menai and the Sutherland Shire. Therapy is offered in person at our Menai practice and via secure online sessions. Women may seek therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, parenting pressures, workplace stress, health-related changes or periods of significant change.
Ongoing demands and life pressures can affect emotional and mental capacity over time. Therapy provides a structured and supportive space to explore how these experiences interact with personal history, expectations, coping patterns and stress.
Our clinicians draw on a range of evidence-based psychological approaches. Therapy may focus on developing emotional regulation skills, strengthening coping strategies, increasing self-understanding, and supporting confidence, boundaries, and decision-making during periods of change. Therapy focuses on what each person is experiencing and what is most important to address in the moment.
We recognise mental health is not experienced in the same way by everyone. Therapy takes into account individual needs, values, cultural context, and goals, with attention to autonomy, strengths, and lived experience.
Our team includes clinicians with experience and interest in women’s mental health across different stages of adulthood, including perinatal mental health, menopause and midlife transitions. Therapy is available in person at our Menai practice, as well as via secure online sessions for clients across NSW and Australia.
