Evolving Minds Sutherland Shire Counseling FAQS
Medicare Rebates
Evolving Minds Counselling are registered Medicare providers to provide focused psychological therapies.
In order to access the rebate you will need a referral from your GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician. You can obtain Medicare Rebates for Individual and Group Therapy sessions.

This rebate extends to children, adolescents, and adults, providing up to 10 sessions per calendar year. An additional 10 sessions per calendar year is available for Group Therapy.

Evolving Minds can process the rebate for you via our case management system or you can opt to do this yourself.
Cancellation Fees
Similar to many professional services, Evolving Minds Counselling maintain a cancellation policy that respects the time reserved for your appointment.
At Evolving Minds we often operate with waiting lists, providing reasonable notice allows us to offer the appointment to another client.
If a session is cancelled within one business day (24 hours) of the scheduled appointment time or if the client fails to attend without notice, the full fee of the pre-scheduled service will be charged.
For consultations cancelled with 48 hours notice of the pre-scheduled appointment, a charge of 50% of the pre-scheduled appointment fee will apply.
At Evolving Minds our cancellation policy is strictly enforced and encompasses all reasons for session cancellation, including instances of ill health, unless accompanied by a doctor's certificate.
Emergency and Crisis Lines
Evolving Minds Counselling understands crisis and emergencies don't always occur within business hours. That's why we have put together a comprehensive list of emergency mental health services and crisis contacts with links to their websites.
