Adult ADHD Assessments
Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology — Menai and the Sutherland Shire
Many adults seek an ADHD assessment later in life after long-standing difficulties with attention, organisation, time management, or emotional regulation. ADHD affects an estimated 2–5% of adults, and many people are not identified in childhood, particularly where symptoms were masked by coping strategies, high achievement, or external structure. For some, these patterns only become clearer when demands increase or supports change.
An adult ADHD assessment can provide diagnostic clarity and an evidence-based understanding of how these patterns affect daily functioning.
Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology provides adult ADHD assessments from our practice in Menai, supporting adults across the Sutherland Shire and via telehealth throughout Australia. Assessments are conducted by experienced clinicians who are registered with their relevant professional bodies and work within recognised diagnostic and ethical frameworks, including AHPRA guidelines.
Adult ADHD assessments are conducted using a structured, evidence-based approach. Full details about how assessments are completed, including the assessment process and what to expect, can be found on our Adult Assessments Page.
Following completion of the assessment, feedback is provided in a clear and structured manner. A comprehensive written report is prepared outlining assessment findings, diagnostic conclusions, and practical recommendations. Reports may be used to support workplace or study accommodations, guide future therapeutic work if desired, or support personal understanding.
Adult ADHD assessments are offered as private services and are not covered under Medicare. If you are unsure whether an ADHD assessment is appropriate for you, our Client Care Team can discuss suitability and next steps.
