Charmaine is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and an Animal-Assisted Therapist with over two decades of experience. She brings a profound depth of knowledge and compassion to Evolving Minds, where her dedication lies in supporting adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Alongside her therapy dog, Sebastian, Charmaine creates a warm and healing environment that resonates with all her clients.

Charmaine’s professional journey includes a strong background in education, where she has supported adolescents and their families in navigating school-related challenges, including school refusal and study stress. Her experience in this field provides invaluable support to young people during critical developmental stages.

In addition to her work with adolescents, Charmaine finds great fulfillment in supporting the elderly and their caregivers. Her commitment to enhancing the well-being of both the young and the elderly reflects her dedication to nurturing resilience and dignity at every stage of life.

Charmaine’s approach is warm and empathetic, fostering a non-judgmental and relaxed atmosphere for her clients at Evolving Minds. Charmaine has special interests in Adjustment Disorder, Anger Management, Anxiety Disorders, ADHD/ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, Disability, Grief and Loss, School Refusal, PTSD, and Trauma. These areas reflect her deep commitment to addressing the diverse needs of her clients.

Charmaine's therapeutic framework draws on a range of evidence-based strategies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
