Assertiveness is the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and respectfully, without being passive or aggressive. It's about being heard while staying true to your values.

Difficulties with assertiveness are common, particularly among those who have difficulty putting healthy boundaries in place or those who experience social anxiety  These patterns can lead to frustration, guilt, low self-esteem and strained relationships.

 

At Evolving Minds Counselling and Psychology, we provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy to help strengthen communication skills and build confidence.
